Are You Building Donor Relationships that Deliver?

January 28, 2009 By John Walker

Of course you have donor relationships. After all, last year you mailed 1,200 letters, sent 936 e-mails, visited 8 donors in their homes and put on the annual dinner. But how come your donations aren’t growing?  Isn’t it time to work smarter instead of just harder? Let’s face it, you’re not going to get more time in your day to devote to fundraising, so how do you raise more money? Attend a free one hour webinar and learn new fundraising strategies that will help you get more out of your existing relationships.

On February 23 at 2pm EST Mission Research will host a free one hour webinar called “Using Donor Management Software to Build Profitable Relationships.” This webinar is presented by Ruthellen Rubin, CFRE. Mrs. Rubin is a successful nonprofit consultant and faculty member at New York University's Heyman Center of Philanthropy and Fundraising.

Is this webinar right for you? It is designed for staff and management at nonprofit organizations that are involved in fundraising activities. This webinar will teach you: effective ways to manage donor relationships; what a new database will do for you (that you're not already doing); how to choose the right donor management software; how to become a database super-user (even if you're a non-techie).

Why are we teaming up with Ruthellen to offer this? The reason is this: GiftWorks Fundraising Software works best when it is part of a sound fundraising strategy, and Ruthellen is an expert at fundraising strategy.

So, if you’re asking yourself how to improve your fundraising efforts, take an hour and join us. Learn more and sign up.

Our Latest Endorsement: The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits

January 15, 2009 By John Walker

We are extremely pleased to announce that in late December, GiftWorks entered into a referral partnership with The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits (NHCN). NHCN joins nine other state partner associations in selecting GiftWorks as the fundraising software of choice for their member organizations. In partnering with GiftWorks, NHCN will offer Gift Works fundraising software at a discounted price as a benefit to their member organizations.

Mary Ellen Jackson, Executive Director of NHCN says, “We are dedicated to strengthening New Hampshire's nonprofit sector and this partnership is a good example of how to do that. GiftWorks fundraising software helps increase our member organizations’ capacity to raise needed funds to allow them to fulfill their mission.” The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits has over 600 member organizations.

The New Hamshire Center for Nonprofits is the 10th state association to partner with GiftWorks.  Other partners include the Council of Community Services of New York State, Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations, Utah Nonprofits Association, Colorado Nonprofit Association, Connecticut Association of Nonprofits,  Hawai'i Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, Idaho Nonprofit Center, North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations, and N.C. Center for Nonprofits.

All of these organizations are nonprofit leaders in their states and we are honored to work with them.  Whether you are a nonprofit, consultant, or just someone who cares about the nonprofit sector, please consider joining your state nonprofit association. For information on what your local association may offer, please visit The Council of Nonprofits where you can find a link to your local state association.
