So Many Places, So Little Time! February 19, 2009

Being a fundraising software vendor, the GiftWorks team gets myriad invitations to exhibit and sponsor nonprofit trade shows throughout the country.  We love to travel and meet potential clients and show our software in person.  We love meeting nonprofit industry experts who share wisdom and ideas.  We love forming partnerships with other organizations who are as committed to serving the nonprofit community as we are. Unfortunately, while we would love to go everywhere, we need to make difficult choices. 

This year we have decided to spend most of our travel and exhibition budget supporting our state nonprofit association partners.  We currently have 11 (yes, 11!) state nonprofit associations who actively recommend GiftWorks to their membership.  This year, we are prioritizing their trade shows, which will take us to all parts of the United States and gives us the chance to do what we love, which first and foremost, is meeting grassroots nonprofits that are making a difference in their communities.

We will also be attending some AFP events a little closer to home. So we won’t be at the AFP International Conference in New Orleans, but we will be at AFP Franklin Forum in Philadelphia and the AFP Fundraising Day in New York City. We will also continue our support of the Craigslist Foundation Nonprofit Bootcamp in New York and San Francisco.

We do appreciate all of the invitations we receive, and while we can’t accept them all, we do plan to cover a lot of ground in 2009 and hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person somewhere!
