GiftWorks Story: Family Leadership/Parenting Partners July 28, 2009

One couple manages an organization that touches hundreds of thousands.  How do they do it?  Their passion, combined with the organizational efficiencies provided by GiftWorks, makes it all possible.

GiftWorks has been a lifesaver to our organization, Family Leadership.  We are a small non-profit, bringing parenting training and curriculum to schools, agencies and churches throughout North America.  Our heart is to reach as many parents and effect as many children with positive parenting as we can.  We have a very small staff (it's just my husband and me) and a small budget, yet we deal with a large and always- expanding database of contacts and potential donors.  We desperately needed a system that was cost-effective, that would help us manage and track our contacts efficiently, and help us broaden our reach. GiftWorks has helped us to expand our impact:  we have trained over 1,000 trainers, served over 30,000 parents and positively impacted over 100,000 children since we started using GiftWorks! 

This year, we began presenting at national conventions and conferences all over the US and Canada, where we were making over 5,000 contacts in 2-3 days.  I was absolutely overwhelmed, wondering how I was going to capitalize on all of these potential donors/contacts.   At the same time, GiftWorks switched to the new 2008 version, and some of the functions that were so essential to our organization were lost in the upgrade.  GiftWorks was extremely responsive to our concerns and pleas for help, and they patiently worked with us to help us reach our goals and to be able to use the new, beautiful upgraded system and make it work for our needs.

GiftWorks has given us the capability to organize and track our contacts, market and fund-raise through emails and mailings, calendar our calls and appointments, and to keep notes on each of our 100's of phone conversations!  As a result, we are anticipating an exponential growth and impact this next school year, where we will more than double the numbers of schools we are contracting with, and more than triple our annual budget.  This of course, means that we can reach 100's more families and impact 1,000's more children's lives this year.  Talk about helping us accomplish our mission… GiftWorks - you are the best!   

I spend a lot of time on the phone with Tech Support at GiftWorks...I know you all know me by name and probably wonder what this crazy lady who sometimes can't figure out the simplest things is really like!  How I wish that each of you could see the faces and hear the stories of the parents whose lives are healed, of the children who now feel safe and supported by their parents, as a result of the work we do here at Family Leadership with your help!  We could not do what we do best without the tremendous support, and the amazing, easy to use product which is GiftWorks.  I feel that our partnership with GiftWorks is absolutely essential to our heart and our mission.
